Welcome to Berlitz in Manchester

The City:

Manchester offers an alternative UK city experience.  As the premier centre for commerce in the North of England; it also has a wealth of visitor attractions and scenic areas within easy reach of the city. Four universities on the doorstep ensure there is a cosmopolitan feel to the city, buzzing with events, clubs and bars.  The city is a unique mix of `the modern’ and `the historical’  with pubs dating from the 12th century to stylish modern museums opened within more recent times.  It houses many buildings of architectural interest and heritage sites including art galleries, museums and state houses.

Your Berlitz centre:

The Berlitz centre is in the heart of the city , close to  Piccadilly Gardens and with easy access to Piccadilly train, bus and metro stations.

What to see and do?

Manchester has a unique mix of laid back late night bars, live music venues or its eclectic mix of dance, indie, pop or alternative clubs. If comedy tickles your fancy, the Comedy Store offers no shortage of quality acts. There are a number of multiplex cinemas in the city centre to accommodate all movie buffs at affordable rates.

With its European style squares and diversity of cultures, Manchester is a great place to eat out. One can choose from any nationality, at any price and  from celebrity chefs to cheap kebabs. One may sample spicy delicacies at Rusholme’s curry mile or oriental cuisine in Manchester’s very own China Town.

Of course, Manchester and the surrounding region is famous for it’s football! And of course the world-famous Manchester United. However, Manchester is also a centre of excellence in sports as diverse as cycling, tennis and golf. Since hosting the  2002 Commonwealth Games, Manchester has developed a wide range of world class sports facilities.

From designer to high street, Manchester has everything to offer as a shopping haven. The Trafford Centre, Britain's largest indoor shopping centre, has more than 250 stores to choose from. A walk along The Triangle, King Street and St.Ann’s square in the city centre, houses exclusive designer boutiques and unique shops.

If all this is not enough, places of scenic beauty such as the Lake District, the Peak district and stately homes such as Chatsworth , Tatton Hall and Lyme Park are all within easy reach.
